Objectives of the Course Introducing the concepts of research and research methods.
Providing foundational knowledge on implementing research methods for students’ own research questions.
Developing the ability to analyze research papers critically.
Course Content Course is designed to provide preparatory knowledge to undertake scientific research. Example subjects are such as: introduction to scientific methods in academic research, introduction to research, definitions and comparisons of empirical and theoretical methodologies in research, defining and formulating a research problem, research design, economic modeling, sampling methods, survey design and methods, data collection methods, reviewing the literature, formulating/designing regression analysis, correct citation and referencing, writing research proposals, and presenting of the research.
