Defining main concepts in labor economics. Providing a basis for understanding the labor supply and demand concepts and how labor markets work. Describing human resource policies to incentivize workers.

Course Content
|
The course is designed as an introductory course of labor economics at undergraduate level. Subjects such as the distribution, development and pricing of human resources, employment, unemployment, and related subjects are examined from the perspectives of welfare maximization on the side of labor force and profit maximization on the side of firms. In addition, responses and statuses of employee and employers in response to government policies, demographic changes, and other related conditions are examined through analytical methods based on microeconomic theory
