Course Content
|
Course is designed as an introduction to basics of data science. It is aimed to underline the importance of data analysis and to examine basic methods of data analysis and interpretation, basic probability concepts, random variables and their real-life applications. In addition, discrete and continuous random variables such as Bernoulli, binomial, Poisson, normal and standard normal random variables are examined. Concepts including displaying and describing data, the normal distribution, probability, statistical inference, confidence intervals, and hypothesis tests with their real-life applications are discussed. Students are also directed to analyze small data sets using computer methods.
