Objectives of the Course Increasing awareness about the importance of career planning in the preparation process for the professional world.
Discovering students’ competencies and developing their understandings of the expectations of the professional world correctly.
Developing students’ knowledge and skills in line with the requirements of relevant sectors.
Course Content The course is designed to make it possible for students to be employed in suitable fields based on their education and skills while establishing the bases for career awareness in the early period of higher education. In addition, it is aimed to raise awareness about the expectations and dynamics in business life, and to enable students to develop personal and professional skills. All in all, students are provided with information about different sectors to develop their knowledge and skills further as well as to introduce the tools they can use in their career planning processes.
Course Methods and Techniques The methods and techniques of the course include lectures, group work, case studies, self-assessment inventories, and talks with industry professionals.
